Buying from Africa for the first time? Verify before you pay.
EAL Trust by EuroAfri Link: supplier and transaction verification for European buyers.
We check the supplier, the people behind the business, the goods, the documents and the payment plan before you commit funds, so you can trade with confidence. Built from our own cross-border trade experience.
Is this service for you?
Built for European buyers who are new to sourcing from Africa.
- You are buying from an African supplier for the first time
- You are asked to pay in advance, or to a new bank account
- You are dealing with an intermediary and cannot see who controls the goods
- You have documents, but nobody has checked that they match
- You want an independent view before you commit your money
If you recognise even one of these, ask for a verification before you pay.
A court case is not a buyer protection strategy
You may be able to take legal action after a supplier fails to deliver. But a court judgment is not the same as payment. Cross-border recovery can mean legal fees, months of waiting and further enforcement, with no certainty that the money can be recovered.
The safest time to manage supplier risk is before you pay, not after you lose money.
The risk is not only the supplier. It is the transaction.
A genuine supplier can still present a risky deal: a new intermediary, different bank details, stock that is no longer available, or payment terms that leave you exposed.
Supplier verification asks
- Is the business real?
- Who are the directors and authorised representatives?
- Is the stated supply capability credible?
- Are the submitted documents consistent?
Transaction verification asks
- Is this specific deal safe enough to proceed?
- Who contracts, receives the money, owns and ships the goods?
- Is the product available for this order?
- Are payment, logistics and document controls in place?

How it works
Four steps from your request to a clear report.
STEP 1
Tell us about the deal
Use the short request form. Tell us who the supplier is and what you plan to buy.
STEP 2
We confirm the check and the price
Within 2-5 working days, we will reply with the correct check and a quote.
STEP 3
We verify
We check the supplier, the people behind the business, the goods, the documents and the payment plan. We agree the timing with you in the quote, before you pay.
STEP 4
You receive a clear report
A written report with our findings, a risk score and recommended next steps, before you transfer any money.
This is a new service. We are taking on our first clients, and we will always tell you honestly what we checked, what we found and what we could not confirm.
What you receive
Every verification ends with a written report.
- A written report you can keep and share
- A clear risk score with the reasons behind it
- What we checked, what we found, and what we could not confirm
- Recommended next steps and, where relevant, a safer payment structure
Our limits: we do not give legal advice, and we do not guarantee delivery, quality or the recovery of funds.

Before you pay: 10 questions every buyer should answer
If you cannot answer these clearly, the transaction is not ready for payment.
- 1. Is the supplier's legal identity independently verified?
- 2. Is the person negotiating with you authorised to bind the company?
- 3. Does the receiving bank account match the correct legal counterparty?
- 4. Who owns the goods, and who can legally sell them?
- 5. Has product availability been evidenced for your quantity and delivery window?
- 6. Are the producer, packhouse, exporter, intermediary and logistics roles clear?
- 7. Are certificates, quality records and traceability documents current and applicable?
- 8. Has the logistics plan been independently confirmed?
- 9. Are payment milestones linked to verifiable commercial events?
- 10. What happens if the supplier fails to perform, and is your exposure limited before that point?

Why we built this service
What our own trade experience taught us.
EuroAfri Link is a Dutch trade company working between Africa and Europe. In our own trade, we paid a supplier in advance for a shipment of fresh produce. The deal did not go as agreed, and recovering the money has proved slow and difficult.
It taught us that the risk is rarely only the product. It is the supplier’s identity, who controls the goods, where the money goes and how the payment is structured. Once the money has left your account, your options are limited and uncertain.
Four questions to ask before you pay:
- Who exactly is the company, and who is authorised to sign for it?
- Who owns the goods, and are they available for your order?
- Does the bank account belong to the company you are buying from?
- Is each payment linked to something you can verify?
That is why we built this service: so that buyers ask these questions before they pay, not after. This is a new service, and we say so openly. We will always tell you what we checked, what we found, and what we could not confirm.

Frequently asked questions
A contract does not prove that the supplier controls the goods, can perform, or has assets available if something goes wrong. Verification helps you find and reduce risk before the contract and payment become a dispute.
A legitimate supplier can still present a high-risk deal. The payment recipient, product owner, intermediary, bank account, logistics plan and payment structure can differ for each order.
At a minimum, verify the legal counterparty, payment recipient, product ownership, supply availability, document consistency, logistics plan and payment milestones. For larger orders, request a Transaction Verification.
Company registration, directors, physical address, farm or packhouse, export experience, banking information and commercial references, within the scope stated in each report.
The price depends on the check you need and the countries involved. We send a written quote within 2-5 working days, before any work starts.
It depends on the country, the supplier and how quickly information is shared. We agree the timing with you in the quote, before you pay.

No. A verification confirms that evidence was assessed within a stated scope and on a stated date. It does not guarantee future delivery, quality, payment performance or solvency.
No. EAL Trust is designed to reduce avoidable risk before payment. Legal recovery requires a separate claim and depends on the counterparty’s available assets.
EAL Trust does not provide legal advice, insurance, or a guarantee of supplier, buyer, product, shipment or payment performance. Our services provide evidence-based verification, risk assessment and transaction-control support within the defined scope of each engagement.
